    Yep it looks like Green turf algae. anyone know what kind of algaecide we should use?? Or would it be safe to just let the rock dry out?

    Need help with algae

    We have tried to pull it off, scrub it off with a brush and it is still there. My boyfriend wants to torch it off but I don't want to kill coraline algae. Has anyone taken the rock out and let it dry? I don't want to have a set back to starting up our main tank but if we have to we will.

    Need help with algae

    I am fairly new to this...my boyfriend and I have acquired about 100 lbs. of live rock and have had it in a 110 gallon tank for about 6 months now. We have noticed a coarse hair algae that is 'turf' like. When researching it people have said that it is nuisance algae but we think it is spaghetti...
