125 Gallon All Glass Aquarium with lots of extras

It is a sad day for me. I had to take down my 125 gallon tank. I am moving and can not move the tank (and fish) in a timely manner. So I have elected to sell the fish and live rock (which are gone as of now). I do have a nice setup ready for someone in need. 125 gallon all glass aquarium ( 72L...

How much live rock is to much?

I have 200+ in my 125 gallon. It's been a long haul, but I got a nice tank now. I have (2) XP3 filters running alternately every day, plus I use the sump.

    LR Question

I got it on both. If it up against the glass you will have difficulty cleaning the glass in that area without moving the rock.

    Diamond Gobies

2 heaters less stable than 1

I have (3) heaters in my tank. (2) 300 watt (1) 250 watt All are set on 80 degrees, and are hooked upto a tempature controller that just turns them on and off as needed. This works fairly good in my 125 gallon tank. Temp is normally 78-79 degrees all the time. Mike

    Nano Cube for Sale

I have a fairly new Nano Cube for sale. I used it for about 2-3 weeks before I felt guilty and moved the horses to a new 26 Gallon Bowfront. This is the not the new Nano Cube. It comes with the matching black stand also. I paid $190.00 @ Aquatica in Tinley Park for it. I would like to get...

    Rechargable CR-V3 Lithium?

I use Nickel-metal hydride batteries. Rechargeable. 1800 mAh. I have been using them for over a year with no problems. I have 4 AA sized batteries, two in the camera and two always charging. HTH Mike

    Rechargable CR-V3 Lithium?

I just use the rechargable batteries in mine. I think they are AA sized batteries. But you got to get the right ones, they are NOT Ni-Cads. Mike

    PETCO

Same here. I have been to 2 of them by me (south chicagoland area), Clowns and Yellow Tangs, and alot of dead Damsels. I think it is they just don't have anyone with enough knowledge of saltwater to really take care of the fish. Damsels are pretty tough, but in one store they had at least a...

    Filter

Does it use the filter pouches, I am not familiar with the Whisper filter but I think it uses the pouch type filters with carbon inside. If that is the case then you copuld use it to filter the tank as long as it you can turn over the water at least 6 times. It would be nice if it had a 2 stage...

    scooter blenny

Mine eats anything that I feed the fish. If it falls to the substrate and the fish don't get it, he will. He spends alot of time also picking at the live rock. He should eat just about anything you put in there. Mine took about a week to get himself adjusted to my tank and his new tankmates, but...

    Showerhead trickle filter.

You can buy plastic ones all over the place. Most are plastic now anyway unless you want to spend big bucks for the real good ones. Mike

Anyone buy an Aqua-safe RO/DI off ebay????

Yes or you can run the hose into a sink. It takes about 3 hours to fill my holding tank. I really don't know, but the water comes out of the waste hose at a much greater volume than the hose that fills the tank. I would venture to say at least five times as much waste water. You can buy...

Anyone buy an Aqua-safe RO/DI off ebay????

I got one. Mine works just fine. Took my TDS reading from my tap water @around 390-400 to 2. I say it works good. I also got mine from Ebay too. There are a couple of people here that have the same RO/DI unit. I just don't use the last filter, (the one that makes the water taste good), none of...

    Octopus for home tank

All I know is all of the books that I have on marine life say to due extensive research on the Octopus and the like. They require extreme care to keep in the home aquarium. They do not do well in captivity. They require a large habitat. Octopodidae (Hapalochlaena maculosa) Common name: Blue...
