Not on the glass circulating around in the water

Just did a water change and added a 400 powerhead and there are tons of tiny air bubbles in front of my filters output.. Any suggestions on how to get rid of them??

I'm 18 days into my first salt water tank and I'm seeing some of my live rock developing these dark red/purple looking spots. Some bigger than others. I moved a small white rock to the front a few days ago and found a newly acquired tiny red branch sticking off of it.. Any idea what this might be??

Well here's how it went-- I originally had the chromis in there, then a friend who keeps a pretty nice reef told me to throw a raw shrimp in, and I did.. We go to the same LFS and when I told my guys up there about it they told me to take it out.. So I did.. Lol this was a week ago and now...

Could that 1-2 gallon "top off" caused it?

could it just be a quick cycle? shouldnt nitrates get down to 0 eventually anyways?
