    Kenyi cichlid

I would try adding Epsom salt. It works as a laxative for fish and might help her pass out all that junk. Dosage 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons. If she is still eating you can also try de-shelled peas. That should help to clear her out.

    New tank not cycling! Help

I agree with V227. You are doing a good job. Neon tetra don't produce much waste but your tank will cycle given more time. I wouldn't add too many more fish just yet. One or two would be ok though.

    cloudy water fish tank cycling

Sounds like it could be bacterial bloom in the water column. That will go away after a while. But it could also be the flakes polluting the water. Or a combination of both. The readings do look positive but difficult to confirm as I never cycled a tank using flakes. If it was my tank I would...

Any good stocking guide for begginers?

This one is quite good as a general guide http://aqadvisor.com

Looks great. Any ideas on the stock you want to keep in there?

    Adding a pleco

A dark colour bristle nose would work. Nothing colourful or albino which would attract attention from the labs.

    Juvenile discus

Bare bottom is definitely the best way to go for young discus. I've seen breeders over here doing massive daily water changes of 80%-90% with bare bottom tanks. That way they can feed messy high protein food to get maximum growth rate without having to worry about water quality. In regards to...

Breeding and keeping Peacocks in Storage bins??

It's best to have 1 male with 3 or 4 females. Males can be very aggressive with the females. In regards to the tank setup. No need for substrate but a few rocks would be good to provide hiding places for the females when needed. And females usually lay the eggs on a large flat rock.

    Discus tank tank mate help

Rays grow fast. Even if you got a juvenile it would out grow the tank in less than a year. Some suggestions: Pictus catfish Gold nugget pleco If you want something a bit more odd ball Palms Polli Bichir would work with discus but may eat your dither fish. https://youtu.be/FxrZKegikUk

    Malawi Aulonocara Peacocks

20 long may work but really you should add more females to keep the male occupied.

    Beginner Blues

Wisteria is a good plant to put in the back corners. Grows fast and you can plant the cut offs to spread it out a bit along the back. It's going to take a bit of time to get the tank the way you like.

    advice on upgraded overstocked tank

By the way .... I just had a look at your tank photo again. Some of the plants will need to have the pots and wool removed and to be planted into the gravel. Check this out when you get a chance. :)

    advice on upgraded overstocked tank

The milky color of your tank water looks like bacterial bloom to me. If so it will clear given some time. It could also be the CO2 booster causing the milky water. So long as your fish aren't showing signs of stress I wouldn't be too worried about it. I only use Seachem Safe (a concentrated...

    Stocking 15-Gallon Column Tank

I think 5 male guppies is a good option since you're looking for color with long fins.

    Stocking a 10 gallon tank

5 x Celestial Pearl Danio, 3 to 5 Pygmy Cory, and a nice Nerite snail would be my suggestion.

Is my tank cycled? Is my betta healthy enough to add?

Sounds like you've put some great effort in to try and save this little guy. There is a melafix for bettas which you can try since you mentioned that melafix helped.

Starting 90 Gal soon, help on filtration, heater and light?

I had a Fluval FX5 on my 90 gal and it did a great job on keeping the water clear. My preference for biomedia is Seachem Matrix. Top tray filter wool and 2 trays of matrix. LED light. Beamswork are good value for money. I think the rainbow shark would be in for trouble with the oscar.

Is my tank cycled? Is my betta healthy enough to add?

I was thinking the same thing initially, to bring all the bacteria over. But given that the 5 gal tank is infected it might contaminate the new tank. Another option is to treat in the 5 gal with a stronger antibiotic such as Maracyn.

    Bacteria Starter Question

Seems like you've done quite a lot of research already. Although I like the idea of a fishless cycle I don't quite have the patience to look at an empty tank for weeks. I imagine that you have a filter on there already. If not a small HOB (hang on the back) filter is good as it won't take up...

how long do I have while doing a PWC...

I don't see any problem with that. The media wont have enough time to dry out during the water change.

    Sump question

Running a sump there is more water surface exposed to the air and the volume of water lost to evaporation is surprising. If you live in an area with high water evaporation then definitely consider the bigger return section. It'll save you having to top-up between weekly water changes. I could...

Just want to see what you African Cichlids lovers think

Nice job on the layout. Looking good :) I started off with a mixed peacock and mbuna tank much like your setup. Over time the stock has been changed to haps and peacocks. Personal preference for larger fish over mbuna. I would say stick with the current stock and see how it develops. If needed...

    New 35 gal setup

Nice setup. Even without fish in there it looks good :) If I was stocking that tank I would start off with these favorites of mine and add a small shoal of tetras and maybe a few corys. 1 x Paradise fish 2 x Electric Blue Rams 3 x Polka Dot Loaches (these are great fun to watch) 7 x Neon...

    Stocking for a 20g vs a 16g?

There's not really much difference between the two in regards to type of fish you can keep. However the extra 4 gals will allow you to keep a few extra fish and the extra volume would help in maintaining better water quality.
