    Baby bamboo shark

Feed it small pieces of squid to get it started eating. Also, when I mean small, I mean SMALL. They have tiny mouths and can't chew.

    Ocean water

I can't explain it, but it's just what I've observed. I setup a biocube with only sand and ocean water, and threw in some fish from the ocean and never received any ammonia or nitrites. Tested using the API test kit for 2 weeks before I got any live rock at all.

    Ocean water

I literally ONLY use ocean water. I have a house on the water and felt that buying salt would be a waste of money. I've filled up 3 different tanks, the latest being my new 180, using pure salt water. I've also never needed to cycle a tank. Just make sure it's high tide.

    Haiti reef rock

Go with dry rock. I suggest going to bulkreefsupply.com Unless you really want "Haitian" rock, which is indistinguishable from any other live rock available. In which case you only have the option of getting the rock at your Lfs.

Saltwater fishses keep dying! Not sure why?

I've had a yellow tang in a 75g for over a year. It's now in a 180. IMO, they will def do well in a 75. It didn't die due to the tank size.

    Twin Spot Goby Help

It's probably going to starve. These fish also do better in pairs. I suggest looking up fish on your phone at the store; it's what I always do.

    Biotanks

Don't get one! They're not worth the price. Just do your research and buy things separate.

    My new tang

Had no idea about the other tangs in the tank as well. I would ONLY keep that one tang if I was going to put a tang in a 55, but not 3. This is coming from me, who has a purple tang in a 40 for about a month or two until I setup a 180 because my yellow tang was beating it up in my 75g tank.

    My new tang

I disagree. Scopas tangs can live in a 75g but can live in a 55 for some time.

    What is Essential Equipment

You also need a refractometer to measure salinity. I would also get a small power head for more flow.

Is this light fixture good? Good for coral?

I have one similar to this and kept an acropora frag under it. It was high in the tank though. It kept color and grew for 2 months until I moved it to my other tank.

    800 gallon L - Shape Custom Build

I just made the transition into LEDs on my 40g and it's made such a difference. I had a 6bulb t5ho fixture that cost $325 and this led fixture cost the same, except that I don't need to change the bulbs anytime soon, and they don't promote nuisance algae growth when the bulbs get older like my...

    redsea's 34g Reef Build

Zoas are not the only corals that can be poisonous. Most soft corals secrete toxins as well. I think that people should get into a habit of washing their before and after touching something in a tank.

Is a 300g upgrade TOO big?

Exactly what I was thinking. Don't waste a 300g on a freshwater tank. Make it a full blown reef if you're going to get it. You could get mostly any fish you would want.

Don't have any experience with the fish but how do you catch them? I haven't found any down here.

    Scoly affected by algae

Do you have excess phosphates and nitrates in the water? I would try to get rid of ALL the algae.

Mandarins, are they really a difficult fish?

In the app store if you have an iPod, iPhone, or iPad, there's an app that's called Coral Magazine which has an in depth article on mandarins and how to successfully train it to eat prepared food. Coral Magazine is also able to be purchased in real life.
