i wouldnt get barbs with the angelfish, thats just me personally, they seem to quick and agresive. they would probably nip at the angels fins.

Question really quick. Will angelfish eat fry from any live bearers such as plattys?

I dont see why it wouldnt work, if the measurments add up, then it should fit your tank. About having a 10 gallon underneath it, i guess you would just have to find out if you could when you got it.
