    My Impulse Buy...

Yeah, flounders are one of those fish that are technically brackish, but can adapt to fw. I've found they do MUCH better, though in brackish. Sounds great & GL! Derek

do you take 50 or 85 to get to Raleigh? I know 50 is faster, but can definitely be treacherous at night.

    Yo-Yo Loaches - by Fruitbat

Great review...I love YoYos. They are my second fav behind Zebras (striata). If you don't include the coveted Hillstream that is. I've always found that my more common loaches love being out all during the day. I guess, once they get comfortable they love to show off. The classic loach...

Senegal Bichir (Polypterus senegalus) by Fruitbat

These are fantastic fish. I've had mine for about 2.5 years. She has got the GREATEST personality. They can and often do breathe oxygen, so you will see them frequent the water line and shoot back down with a bubble. Great review, my only thing, I think they commonly max out at 12-13 inches...

    LFS's?

are you thinking Animal Zone? That was at the corner of Durant and Falls (just up the hill you were referring to). They closed that location and are now out at Wakefield. I didn't think they changed their name, but I haven't been out there. That guy just got in trouble having too big of a...

    LFS's?

possibly....I don't go downtown that much. The last time I saw (circa 2months ago) I think it was still aqua escape. Don't bet the house on that one, but pretty certain.

    LFS's?

Take Glenwood Ave into downtown. Make a left onto Peace. It will be on the left at the Capital Blvd onramp. Derek

    LFS's?

I love Triangle Trop Fish in Durham. The only beef I've got is some items they don't provide a warranty with. That's fine, for the most part, but occasionally you do get fish that aren't perfect. The people in there are great too. As for Raleigh, Fish Pros is good. They've got a decent...

Computer Power Supply and 80mm fans for trade

not at all....actually you have a fabulous idea. But those people who are unfamiliar with PC power supplies should know that it's not just Plug and Chug. You can't just use any old power supply. As for the piece not being seen, that may be fine for some people. I was stating a fact on how it...

Computer Power Supply and 80mm fans for trade

yes, and it becomes a rigged p/s that quite often looks like crap. It would be better to cut all the wires and solder the two required. That way the only thing that you need to do to turn on the p/s is flip the switch.

Computer Power Supply and 80mm fans for trade

The only problem with your potential setup for a hood, is that a motherboard is required to provide power to the power supply. The only way around this is to mod the power supply so that it becomes a switched p/w. And that's only if the p/s has a switch on the back. Derek

    Fish stock 58 gallon | fish jumble game.{aka bug Menagerie}

The dojo's are cool. They are also known as weather loaches. When the barometric pressure changes in your area, the loaches will go crazy. Swimming all over the tank. I actually prefer Yo-Yo's or Zebra Loaches. I love loaches as a whole. Derek

Adequate Tank Size For Adult Clown Knife..

yeah, i would say ATLEAST 150gal. I've seen several that were over 2ft. I don't think they would get much larger and certainly can't imagine 3ft. Depending on his appearance, you may want to look into selling him to someone as a show fish. A LFS here has sold a couple that are generally...

    Fish that play with sand

Depending on your fishkeeping experience, I'd recommend Stingrays. I'd go with Hystrix or Motoro's. Hystrix are often times cheaper and easier to find, but Motoros are oftern hardier. There are few things better than watching your stingray (or couple of stingrays) blowing through the sand...
