A bit of a strange question here.. Do neon tetras produce much waste? Was thinking of keeping some with my guppies which are basically poop machines! So yeah, strange question and my logic tells me that neons aren't big poopers but you never know in this hobby so thought I'd just check :)

Yep I can definitely still hear the humming of the motor going and is still sucking things up; its just very sporadic in pushing the water out. The filter sponges look relatively clean on first inspection but I will wash them and clean the innards tomorrow morning to see if it makes a difference...

I have four pygmy cories in a 8gal and they are really cool and are fun to watch. I'd definitely recommend them! They also all stick together in a lil gang ;) they can be pretty fun to find though when juvenile they are so small haha!

I have been feeding my 4 male guppys once a day but, like you, have heard many feed 3 times a day. Should I be feeding them more? I also pop in an algae flake 5 or 6 times a week for 4 Pygmy cories and 5 rcs.

Hi everyone. I'm down in Kent. Just wondering if it's the whole of the uk or just down near me that sells shrimp at stupid costs compared to the us.. Where I am it's £4 per red cherry shrimp!

What does CPD stand for? Would I be able to do 6 endler's livebearers or 6 mosquito rasboras aswell as upping the rcs numbers?

Thanks a lot for your help. I think I'l leave the ottos then as I don't want to stress them out or keep them unfairly. I will look around some lfs' further away and if I still have no luck then I'l just keep the puff on his own in the tank :) thanks for all your help mate!
