Alright! Picked up some pool filter sand and am thinking of having a middle island of pfs surround by orange sand. The pfs will slope gradually upwards to a hill, andthecenter will be heavily planted, the outer edges with less.

And will that set me for the fertilizer??? Looking forward to finally starting to keep some fish in this aquarium!!! So about an inch of sand atop the soil???

And does the osmocote need to be treated for any harmful pesticides or sometjing???

These shrimp are my favorite shrimps ever. Have house them in tanks with bettas before. Theyre hardcore parcore pros. Ill get a gallo jug or a breeders net or something, put the betta next to the tank (or in it wid that net) and see if either of them react.
