    The spike is normal. Doing super high % water changes will not help. 20% a week till every thing levels out. It may take time. Your doing fine. Some just start adding fish willy nilly like with out care. Keep check every couple days and when nitrates drop take your time one fish at a time.have...

    Wow from the pics I think you must take a lot of time keeping the glass so clean. I try to but it gets away from me. The back of my tank is all coraline algae as a background.

    The best way is to put him in a small tank away from your reef. And treat him there. Then treat your tank with something reef safe as a prevention like probiotic marine formula by precision aquarium.

    Flow over your leather is very in portent. Leathers will also tell you your alkaline levels are to low. Ph should be closer to 8.2 or 8.3 in a reef. Try a good buffer or a more reef salt mix like red sea coral pro.

    Smaller ones some times. There hit or miss with anything they can get a hold of. One tank may never have a problem the next they'll eat anything.

    If you are getting ether of those 2 for a particular job. A dotyback fish will do better then the both combined. I have had them all and the fish will cover more of your tank in 30seconds then the other 2 will look over in one day, searching for bad stuff 24/7. The arrow crab is cool thou. Also...

    I have a cupel limpets in my main tank and refugeum they mostly stay in the sand. The other snail I think I have one to. Never had a problem with ether.
