Might want to consider a test kit ASAP. You need to know the parameters of your water in order to effectively recreate a marine environment. JMO.

My experience has been that the two will not mix well. I was told by my Lfs that, if introduced at the same time, they would be able to coexist. The flame angel was dead two weeks later and the coral beauty still rules the tank. I think that their personalities are what dictate them being able...

I use peagravel and dose with the seachem flourish once a week and my plants are growing out of my tank. Call me old fashioned, but I don't really get into the substrates, co2, etc. I use what has always worked best for me, good lighting, frequent pwc's, and good ol mother time takes her course...

I like the coralife super skimmers. Im not using one rt now but have had good success with it. I would steer way clear of any skimmer/filter combo( sometimes called a skilter) or the seaclone skimmers.

Depends on what kind of sps, are you using ro/di, dosing the tank, etc etc. I can only give you my experience(I dose and use ro h2o), but I have some montipora and birdsnest right now and have seen significant growth in the two months I have had them. I was out of town since Sunday and came back...

At 3-4 inches you could have one fish in your ten gallon for a month or so and then it's time to upgrade to larger quarters. Something like a long 55 gallon would be perfect. I've never been able to tell the sex of them. Good luck to you.
