If its the top of the rock were looking at it looks a lot like normal algae to me but I could be wrong. I would presume coralline needs better lighting to bloom

Probably from the tip of the longest leg to the back of the crab because logically if you think anything else would be the crabs diameter :)

Have a look on live aquaria, they tell you everything you need to know about specific fish, including food, size tank etc etc :)

They would measure the actual crab as shells vary in size :)

It's not just time, it's alot about experience. It's stressfull at times if something gets eaten or dies you think the whole tank will implode! I'd say avoid a 5, I've had no experience with nanos but I think 5 will be restricted and hard. As for cost, I'd do exactly what you said in spending...

Yeah had the tank nearly a year and going reef soon as I get some better lighting so I was thinking about how to set up my rocks for anemones and such so I will need flatter rock and more rocks to place them :)

Ive got a 30g with around 30lb of live rock. I was thinking of adding more rock so shall I buy base rock? Do they have the same benefits (after a while of base rock being round live rock)? Thanks :)
