My lawnmower eats just about anything that gets near it. Brine shrimp, Algea and I would bet my missing Cardinal. If he did, I would say he did a great clean up job because the cardinal fish is nowhere to be found. Maybe he buried it? Anyway he looks pretty guilty to me.

Yes, I had to pull part of the blue background off to take the photos. the flash was reflecting off of it real bad, hence the cables on the left side of the tank showing. :)

I had a half dollar size Banggia Cardinal fish pass away within my hex tank. I can only assume he passed unless invisible fish is his specialty. We have looked high and low, both in and outside the tank with no luck. The tank has tons of hiding spots and areas under the LR where a sneaky shrimp...

Do you need a protein skimmer on a 40 gallon hex FOWLR tank down the road? I have a backpack style one that was given to me. Just wondering if I need to plan on installing it. Thanks Sabre
