Red finned flagtail prochilodus, appariently they will have a little nibble at weaker plants but wont touch anubius etc. I have heard they will eat ALL types of algae as well. They get to about 35cm and are nice and active. Can be aggressive to its own kind though.....

How aggressive actually are these fish, some people say they arent aggressive at all and other say their psycho.... Anyone have any? How aggressive are we talking? Jaguar/red devil aggressive? would they be okay with a full size bristlenose?

yeh definetly sound like the Hillstream loach, theyre pretty hard to keep, If you have any other plecos or anything then the hillstream will probably be starved :( there a bit finicky i've heard theyre also called "Borneo suckers" in the lfs's here.

It can also be a good idea to keep a bit of the old gravel wet and chuck it into filter bags or stockings, then place the bags half burried or just on top of the new sand, the you can remove them after a week or so. This is just to seed the good bacteria into your new substrate. I did it this...
