Sorry for the lack of updates but I got really busy this fall. I hosted a frag show in October that consumed me and shortly after we started construction on an addition to the house which is wrapping up right now. Just some trim and paint left at this point. It's been quite the experience. Good...
It takes time, Rome wasn't built in a day. I ran T5s for 8 months and saved for the Radions. It was another 8 months before I upgraded to the 125 and got another.
Yeah, the way I understand this is that it hardwires into one of the lights like you do on a laptop and then it's on the wifi network from then on. You can make changes via iPhone, laptop etc.
Just remember that YOU titled this thread the "Final" build ;) Do it right now or you will just have to do it again later.
Also, I didn't see if anyone replied about the sump but you had said something early on about no baffles and not messing with DIY. Just make sure that you have at least one...
That check valve is probably cutting your low by 1/3. The flow has to literally push the spring open to get by. Something like this will eliminate all restriction on the return: Swing Check Valve True Union - Bulk Reef Supply On top of that, the spring will corrode eventually. Just looking out...
Is the check valve a Lowe's spring loaded deal or is it a swing valve? Sorry if I missed it in a prior post but it's a long thread already. If it's spring loaded, it take a ton of pressure to get it open. Ditch it if so.
I had a friend over for some beers and conversation this weekend and it was just about impossible to see the inside of my tank. I haven't cleaned the glass in over a week with everything going on. I pretty much spent the whole day cleaning and working on it. I took a few pictures afterward. I'm...
I have worked tirelessly to put this event together over the last few months and it's finally here. I hope to see some of you on Saturday! MAMAS | Fall Frag Festival October 19, 2013
Still in the works everyone. They started digging the foundation for the addition a few weeks ago. I should be relocating my office to another room next month and beginning the build in Dec/Jan.
Lots of updates this week! Social contest announced for Twitter, Instagram and Facebook and new merchandise available. MAMAS | Fall Frag Festival October 19, 2013 | Contests There are still a few VIP tickets left. This isn't to be missed if you live a few hours outside the event. Help support...
So it's been well over a month now since I began the acro treatment. I too a bazillion macro shots today to inspect for red bugs. No signs! So I think I'm going to do one last dip today and return the colonies to the display However... before I do that I have seen more monti eating nudis on my...
Tickets are now on sale to the general public. There are some VIP tickets left. Note that we are using TicketLeap and while you can print the tickets, you can also grab a digital ticket for your iPhone or Android supported ticket wallet. I will be posting a hotel deal as well once I get some...
The Mid-Atlantic Marine Aquarium Society (MAMAS) would like to invite you to the 2013 Fall Frag Fest located in Virginia Beach, VA on October 19, 2013 from 10am-5pm. The Fall Frag Fest is an opportunity for reef aquarists in the mid-atlantic region to come together for a day of shopping...
oh oh I follow you. Yeah I could to further ensure treatment if I could find it. I don't care about the pods in the QT. I was referring to the main display. Thanks for the feedback/suggestions.
They don't make it anymore unfortunately. I could be wrong about hidden locations of it online. I would assume any stock left is expired by now though and not useful or less effective. On top of that, the same drugs used to kill the red bugs will kill the pod population and tons of other...
Yet another update to keep this alive. It's been an amazingly mind-numbing process but we are finally done with the architectural plans and have a final quote from the contractors for the bank. We hope to close this month and begin demo. I imagine that if we close this project will carry on...
So I discovered red bugs about 2 weeks ago. Unable to find interceptor, I looked into Sentenil and dropping the temp. Since neither was 100% proven at this time and both have been noted as working for some people I decided to drop the temp as it was a single day effort and no carbon or massive...
