I picked up a curve 7 about a month ago and absolutely love it. Easy to assemble, easy to tune and really quiet. I have it on a 200 gal system and get about 1/2 a cup every 4 days or so.

I definitely love the Midas, had one in my 120 for almost a year and one day it just disappeared. Not behind,under or in the overflow, just gone (even with my screens on). He did jump out one time while I was doing a water change but just happened to land in the new water I was about to put in.

@carey- the rocks on the left are against the glass and overflow, but I'm not too worried about cleaning the glass. I am going reef as this tank is connected with my 120 so I'm hoping to keep all fish reef friendly. @Rybo- I'm not sure I want to have another eel. I had one in a 55 when I lived...

It should be more than enough for a 90. It's been in a little over 12 hours and its already starting to pull stuff out. So far I am impressed.

I had thought about white but I wasn't sure how I would like it. As for lighting; I don't think it will be a problem, the fixture over the tank is a 14 k 250 de Phoenix and 4 t-5 (2 aqua blue plus and 2 aqua blue special).

On another note, I finished plumbing both sumps and tanks together. All parameters are good and everything looks happy. Now just need to deal with the mess of wires and add sand to the 40 if I can find any locally that I like. I was thinking about going with black sand to make anything I add pop...

Like the look of the bubble magus but I think I'm gonna go with the curve 7. Little extra skimming never hurts.

So I got ambitious while I was doing a water change on the big tank. Got the tank cleaned up, filter installed and I swiped some rock and sand from the other system. Not 100% happy with the layout so I'm sure it will change.

All 3 overflow lines run into the sump separately. I have the return for the 40 and the end of the first sump and the return for the 120 is all the way at the other end. I didn't hook up the SCWD just yet but I will once my mini cycle finishes.
