    Questions about NEW blue angel

It's the only angel in the tank but I seriously doubt it's sick. It's about three inches and I bought him from a local breeder that deals only in angels. One thing I thought might be the cause if his shyness(or whatever it is) was the large group of schooling tetras I have. Seems strange though...

    Questions about NEW blue angel

I've had angels before and I know about their shyness. This seems a little different for some reason. Hopefully that's it!!

    Questions about NEW blue angel

I bought a blue angel today and for some reason he will not leave the back corner on the left side of my tank. I would consider myself an experienced fish keeper and I can't figure it out. Any ideas? We can rule out water quality and tank size.

    125 gallon build!!!

I've got a 125 gallon tank at my parents that I HAVE to move with me. It's currently housing an Oscar, JD, BGK, and pleco. I'm going to get rid of the Oscar and JD and possibly the BGK leaving just the pleco all to his lonesome. Any ideas on stocking? I've been running a fluval fx5 and an...

    Any south louisiana folks????

Seems like areas that weren't supposed to get alot of damage were the hardest hit. I think the rebuilding of the levees around new Orleans forced all that water into areas around Baton Rouge. Thankfully in my neighborhood we didn't lose power but lost alot of trees. No fish casualties!! Here's...

    Any south louisiana folks????

Sorry to hear that man. Things aren't quite over yet though. All that water from north of us has to go somewhere.

    Any south louisiana folks????

Better than I expected. Didn't lose power and only minor damage. Tree fell down in my drive way and another in the backyard but other than that I was ok.

    Any south louisiana folks????

Getting intense over here. WAFB on 98.1 is describing Grande Isle as all hell breaking loose and reporting 100 MPH gusts. Reporting massive damage already! Get ready........

    Tropical Storm Issac

Well, as most of you probably know, tropical storm Issac is heading for the gulf coast! I live in Louisiana and there is a good chance I will be without power for a few days. Any advice on what I can do to make sure my fish survive?

Let's see those 55's or larger

About 10 black skirt tetras, Raphael catfish, Upside down catfish, BGK, Oscar, JD, and a pleco. It used to also house 5 clown loaches and two BIG bala sharks plus a few rainbow fish but I went out of town and left the tank to the responsibility of my buddy and he had a "die out." Still not...

    Striped Raphael Cat Qs

I wouldn't put play sand in my tank. Idk if you can find black, but I use pool filter sand that you can buy at any local hardware or pool supply store. Have you used sand before?

    Striped Raphael Cat Qs

Mine hasn't and I've had him quite a long time. I feed him granules. I only see mine once a week. Maybe. He's always hiding in a hollow piece of driftwood.

    Striped Raphael Cat Qs

I have a 3 inch Raphael cat in a tank with an 8 inch Oscar and have had no problems. The Raphael tends to be nocturnal and stays at the bottom of the tank.

What to do with a 20L and 10 gallon tank?

I've these two tanks just sitting around in my attic and I can't decide what to do with them. Any ideas?

    Lost my pineapple swordtail

He exploded!? Lol that's ridiculous. I've never had bloat but if I were you I might get a better quality food. What type of food do you use and how often do you feed?

    Bad advice from LFS??

Maybe the tank isn't getting enough oxygen? What type of filters to you use?

    Bad advice from LFS??

I'm having the exact same problem now. I lost two clown loaches, two bala sharks, 6 Cories, and 5 rosy barbs. All of my water parameters are perfect and I always take extra care when cleaning to not introduce foreign chemicals to the tank. I thought the die off was over but this morning I...
