Getting the 30g set up today. Husband is at ace purchasing the ammonia for a fishless cycle. So much has changed since the late 80's! No more run the tank and kill the fish. Gotta love progress....sometimes.

I have been a little stumped by the ammonia level in my 60g tank. It has been sitting at 0.50 with only one small spike. I finally decided to test my tap water and it is reading 1.0 level. Does this mean the tank technically doesn't have ammonia? I use prime water conditioner with water changes...
