Fish not doing so hot. :( Please help!

I'm a broke college student here, so anything more than 20 dollars seems like an investment to me. Like I said, I'm going to call Aqualand up and see if they will refund me for the Koi and Comet, even though they're still alive and well... maybe they will take them back, who knows. If they will...

Fish not doing so hot. :( Please help!

I forgot to mention - I bought none of these fish at Petco or Petsmart - I doubt those stores even carry the Powder Blues. Anyway, I bought them at Aqualand Aquarium center, a huge fish specialty store in Minneapolis. They have tanks of all kinds and fish of all kinds. Most of the reviews I read...

Fish not doing so hot. :( Please help!

The water test - the guy told me that the pH balance was normal and that there were not any of the bad chemicals present (ammonia, etc). Hmmm... that's kind of upsetting that the guy didn't tell me that the Koi can get that large! I told him I had a 30 gallon and he said it would be fine in...

Hey everyone, so I have had my 30 gallon freshwater aquarium set up for about a week now with the filter and heater going, added water conditioner (Prime brand) and some beneficial bacteria agent as well. Figured it was about time I get a couple fish in the tank since the water test I had the...

Help out a beginner please! (suds problem)

I'll try have the bubbler out in the open to see if it produces the same foam... Or I'll try turning the bubble upside down (facing downward) and maybe that will help make the bubbles merge more before reaching the surface. Burying it under the rocks doesn't seem to be helping much.

Help out a beginner please! (suds problem)

Update So, as suggested I removed all of the water from the tank, took all of the rocks out of the bottom, rinsed them, rinsed all of the aquarium decor (plants and volcano) wiped down the interior glass with a plain wash cloth (that has not previously been used with soap or anything like that)...

Help out a beginner please! (suds problem)

Thanks for the replies everyone. So, from your responses - here's what I can say: I rinsed the rocks but I didn't do it for a very long time, I figured a good quick strain under the faucet would be enough to get most chemicals off and the filter could handle the little remaining traces in the...

Help out a beginner please! (suds problem)

Hey everyone, New to owning an aquarium here. I bought what I believe is a 29 or 30 gallon tank two days ago. Filled it up with tap water, added everything it needs, floor rocks, a couple decor items (a volcano and a couple fake plants), a heater (currently set at 78 degrees F), a filter and a...
