Mmmmm, not sure I want to chance it, I really want to see some breeding action in my tank, thoses bubble nests sound cool.

My lfs had all male blood red gouramis so I bought two hoping to add a couple females later. Now they have what look to me like mostly female pearl gouramis. Will they breed together? I could give my ten G to a pair of them for a breeding tank, it has lots of floating plants and low current.

I have water lettuce in my 66 Gal with 4X 54Watts of T5 and CO2 and ferts. Under those conditions the plants become huge, spread out, multiply and will take over the entire surface very quickly. In my ten Gal with no ferts they stay small but still multiply and cover all the surface rapidly...

Thanks for the info. I think the ones at my lfs are all males as well then. I suppose they figure that people only want the more colorful males. Bummer, I'd love to see them make a bubble nest.

Is it on the outside or inside of the glass? Sometimes when my tanks really full water weeps through the trim and drips down the side and leaves those white deposits. Supposedly a mild acid like vinegar will take them off but I haven't had too much success removing them. I'm considering...

The diatoms are showing no sign of returning since I did he big clean out. Wow, I guess they really do go away on there own!

It's good to know it'll go away eventually, I hope it's soon. The tanks about six months old and has eco-complete. Is that about when these things would be a problem? The Ottos seem interesting, I'll have to look for some.

My 66G has tons of reddish brown algae that forms on the glass and plants. It cleans of the glass easily but it would take days to clean it off all the plant leaves. I did a huge clean today of all the glass and ornaments and driftwood and will do WC tommorow but how cam I clean the plants...

UV fiter installed, hope it works quickly. I set the flow through it fairly low, I read that if it's too fast it's ineffective. Not sure how fast it should be exactly.
