    Purple Mushrooms taking over! Help

Kidkameleon3 Why did you send me an email auto reply calling me an A-hole? I was just adding to the discussion about what a boom this person has with those mushrooms. Ironic how sometimes we get in abundance what we don't need but others want. I will be reporting you for your profanity...

    Frogfish?

Some keep frogfish in reef systems of course no shrimp or it's time for some cocktail sauce. I think hermits would be fine with some live rock. I have heard that feeding them guppies ghost shrimp and even mollies is best using a small net and moving the net towards the frogfish. You...

    Moorish Idol+ diet?

You said it yourself ignorance...so are you going to pass that along to the next person? Just to give them an answer they wan't to hear? There is more to a healthy fish than just a good diet......Stress will be caused not just to the Idol but to the other fish as well if there are too many...

    Removing Live Rock

Man that is a lot of work for $8.00 bucks worth of fish. I feel the pain. Has anyone invented a mini fishing pole with a size 36 hook? Just make sure the hook is barbless and in two minutes there out, less stress on you and the fish. jk

Dragonet (Mandarin) doesn't like it when lights go out !!

I agree with the moonlights...Heck even a cheap night light nearby will keep a little illumination in the room. My fish go to bed around 9:30 pm...they slip off one by one..The damsels then the blenny, wrasse, dottyback and the last one is the huma and lemonpeel....My attinic stays on last and...

    Live rock question!!

When you get lr from anywhere but directly from the ocean to your tank there will be die off and the curing process needs to be done and it takes time. You can't rush it or you will spend more time and money trying to remedy what could have been prevented..... Use a large clean rubbermaid...

    bicolor blenny

Awesome fish. I dig mine and do feed him some fish veggies, eats anything and everything. The little guy will grow thick and bigger in no time. Mine is not shy at all and will come up to the front and watch me. It is really cool to watch it swim side by side with my Neon Dotty back, they are...

    Medusa

Also known as snake locks..hence medusa coral. They do require feeding, small brine shrimp, plankton-type food. The best location is anchored in the substrate with good water current. Some of them will pull themselves into their bases at night almost like an anemone. All this according to...

    star ??

I have an Orange Linkia it's pretty cool but my new fave is the Fromia I bought for $9.99 at Petco....It does tend to eat some of my corraline. My tank is all pink and purple so the small clean spots really pop where it ate. But I dig the Fromia. Much bigger than the Linkia, each arm is about 1...

The Sixth Avenue Experience or My New Fish

I suppose many people in smaller towns go to Petcos 'cause that's the only choice for fish and supplies. julicat julicat....I live in San Diego which is not some little town. Some of the best deals I have ever found for fish was at a Petco. I picked up my Huma Huma trigger for $14.99...

suggestions for dwarf angel or small butterfly for 45g?

Personally I have a lemonpeel. Nice fish, the smaller the better, can be aggressive at times. Get your angel last...Not the first fish in the tank or even the third. Flame angels are awesome. The smaller the better and shop around for a healthy specimen with lot of blue/indigo. The live rock...

How Heavy a Tank Can I Go on the 2nd floor?

Look at it this way the tank is 55 gallons with 75 pounds of live rock in the tank it's not really 55 gallons of saltwater...more like 40 something gallons plus the sump. I live on the second floor and my 50 gallon is fine. I do live in the corner apartment with the laundry room below...very...

    Tank bottom Stand top Question

ps The middle of you tank would have to fail for you to have the tank fall through the the middle of the top of the stand. Measure how many inches you have around the stand that are framing the outside edges of the tank. My Clear Life tank has seams that are chemically made so the acrylic...

    Tank bottom Stand top Question

Looks like a stand made for an aquarium. The one thing you should always worry about is if the full bottom of the tank is making contact with the top of the stand. If the tank was a lot smaller than the diameter of the stand, then there could be an issue with the thinner diameter. Some people...
