Fix light or buy a new one

I have a light on my 55g that just had a ballast go out. The light is a marineland pro MH x 2 @ 250w and CF x 4 @ 65w. I was thinking of replacing it because it is over kill for this small tank(760w total). What light would you get or would you keep this one? All opinions welcome. Thanks

Anyone familiar marineland pro series light

On the used tank I bought it has 4x cf 64 watt and 2x metal halide 150 20k bulbs. I was wondering what kind of compact fluorescent to get? It has 4 in there now but, one is out. They are actinic and I'm uncertain if that is the best to get for soft corals

    Naso Tang question

Hello I bought a Naso Tang and when he is idle you can see his gills moving pretty rapid, otherwise he seems fine. He is also eating. Is this normal? Also he is three inches long can he stay in my 25g until march when my 150g is ready? Thanks Josh

whats next for my new tank?

I believe my tank has cycled. Today I tested nitrate 0, phosphorus 0, ph a little low, and calcium really low the test kit showed dark purple as good and mine was almost clear. So my water is really clear and clean, but there is absolutely nothing growing on my live rock? I would guess its the...
