How much for live rock?

I'm thinking about redoing my 75g tank with black sand or that moon sand. Maybe it's the same thing. But I'm wondering how much I would need to make a good bed at the bottom. And what has you all heard of using the black sand? Any good?

Ok guys thanks for the replies and info. I knew I was doing things to fast and I should have waited longer.

It has about 50lbs of rock. There was only 4 inches of water left in it so I filled it back up and the live rock I left in a container with water when I moved it but didn't use that water. I started it off with a fresh batch of salt mix.
