Definitely don't mix platys and guppies together and mollies are dump trucks. They produce so much waste it is ridiculous. You could go with any of the small tetras. That will probably be your best bet IMO. You should also get some ghost shrimp because they are super cheap, entertaining and help...

If you have a spare tank I would suggest setting him up in there. There will be a lesser chance of it getting infected in there.

Hmm okay... What about julii cories? I originally set up the tank for Pygmy cories but my lfs doesn't have them so...
