I started out last week battling cyano. I cut down on the lighting and added flow. I left for two days and now the cyano is worse. I now have 1ppm ammonia, evidently something died over the weekend... I got new zoos last week and some of them are turning clear at the base is this the problem...

I'm having trouble with sand getting in my pumps and especially my filter and causing the motor to stop, I'm afraid this is going to burn out the motor. I tried using a coarse sponge in the intake, but it seemed to be putting too much stress on the pump. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hey, This is a little bit random, but I was doing a search online and didn't come up with much. What type of glues do you use to attach rock to rock? Are they clear? Do they cure underwater or with significant moisture? Thanks! (I hope this is ok in this forum)

I'm setting up a 5 gallon salt water tank. Is there such thing as too much light? I want to put a small power compact on it, would that be appropriate? Thanks!
