Skimmer will have to break in. But I agree with Rick u be ok.

I just use warm water and a clean sponge. My skimmer is big enough to get my hand in it. It doesn't get very dirty in the bottom anyway. So it's not that bad too clean. Collection cup is the nasty part.

I take mine apart every month or so and clean it. However it takes about a day or two to break in again.

Get the 29 bio cube or bigger. Lots of peeps have it as clown/ anemone tanks

Both tanks are to small for a pair of clowns.

Hydrometer is off I guarantee it. I have three and they all read different. Get a refractometer or go to local fish store and have them check it with a refractometer. If u have the coralife hydrometer it's off out of box.

Are u checking salinity with a refractometer? Or hydrometer. I had a similar problem with watchmen goby. Led to salinity at 1.028. Hydrometer said 1.023

How fast did u lower the salinity? And what level was it at?

There is a trap u can buy that will catch them at night. Goggle it. Should come up with some online stores that sell it. It's a little green tube thing. Then u won't have to add a unwanted occupant.

Those water level marks are for what level the water inside skimmer should run at. You will adjust that later with Gate valve

Mines a little different skimmer is in middle fuge on left. But see how I had to add egg crate to get skimmer to the right height.

Most skimmers require about a 8-10 inch water level. Should say in the instructions for skimmer. Other and maybe widen the pump house a little. That size u will probably have to add water everyday to keep pump underwater.
