once I was able to get the nitrites down to a readable level, it was less then a week. but I did water changes for 2 days, then skipped a day then did 2 more, all of 50% each.

well the penguin runs 170 gph and the hagen 301 output is 174 gph. Im gonna look for some bio spira tomorrow. I dont know anyone else who has a tank at the moment.
