I would also test for magnesium twice a week because thats what mangroves live off and will rob you system of it within a month so you should look into dosing magnesium and get a good acurate test kit, I recomend sailfert test kits.

Yeah my skimmer pump and refugium return pump are bothe external so I shouldn't get to much heat from there. I am gonna mount them in a canopy so the bottom of the bulb is 9 inches of the water.

Well the fu manchu only gets to be about 4 in. and the fuzzy dwarf gets up to about 7 in. I like the the fuzzy dwarf but that is my opinion. The fuzzy dwarf is also cheaper. Both lions will like the live rock so it is just a matter of which one you like the best. HTH :mrgreen:

It is a pad that goes in your filter and it fust lowers the phosphates. I'm sure there is many other ways but that is the only thing I could find at my LFS and it worked great! Go to you r LFS and ask them what they have, also bring them a water sample so they can see how high it is. HTH

I had the same problem. Steve helped me out, he told me it was because my phosphate was to high. I bought a phosphate pad from my LFS and used it and within a day you could see it working. HTH

We got our own dive gear. My mom and my brother are the ones that will be going down so it will save me a head ache. I have know Idea what there gonna put it in because you can't drill holes in a bucket because the sand will just pour out. But maybe it will sink without holes in it. Who knows...
