Thanks a bunch. I am going to transfer the fish and keep doing water changes to try and save the rock.

The amonia is on the low side... i have 80 lbs. from liverocks.com in my 75 gal. now. Maybe the rock helped it cycle?

I have another tank cycling right now but I don't know if it is ready. Also, wont the soap transfer to the other tank if I move the fish.

I have everything shut off right now. I also took out everthing and gave them a rinsing. There are suds floating around on the top of the water and the fish are acting strange.

dont know but suds are pouring out from the top of the skimmer.

Yes... the hair algea is on the base that the coral is attached to but it is in between also. I am not worried about the algea I can get to but the algea that will disturb the coral.

Setting up new 75gal and thougt I was doing everything perfect, until I added the sand. I bought some live agonite sand and dry sand from my LFS. The dry sand said it was from the ocean and didn't contain silica but once I added this sand it was very cloudy. About 24 hours later it cleared up...

I forgot the name of my coral but it has green algea attached to it and don't know how to remove it. I was transfering it to a new tank and wanted to know how to remove it before it gets a new home. Any suggestions would be great. thanks

I have had this setup in my 40 gal for 2 years and there has been some problems with red & hair algea. I think I will play it safe and buy new. Thanks for the post.

I have about 20 lbs. of live sand and 20 lbs. of sand blasting sand in my 40 gal. Question is... Do I want to transfer this sand into my new 75gal tank or should I start new? I am worried that the sand is not up to par since I am making sure everything is right this time setting up a new tank.

Is there a problem using 1/4" plexi glass for building my sump? I just cant locate any acrylite, one glass place has it for $130.00 a sheet.... to much money.

Does it matter the size of chambers? How many chambers? Should I try it without baffles first to see how it reacts? Or do I just start dividing the sump up and go from there? thanks
