I have about 20 lbs. of live sand and 20 lbs. of sand blasting sand in my 40 gal. Question is... Do I want to transfer this sand into my new 75gal tank or should I start new? I am worried that the sand is not up to par since I am making sure everything is right this time setting up a new tank.

Is there a problem using 1/4" plexi glass for building my sump? I just cant locate any acrylite, one glass place has it for $130.00 a sheet.... to much money.

I have had my 45 gal LR & DSB up for about 6 weeks. Everything looks good except the Calcium is low and the ALK is very, very high. I have taken 3 or 4 tests because it is off the charts. This might sound wrong but it reads at 280 mg/l. If I am doing this right I had to drip in 28 drops before...
