    Cascading Beta Tanks

So I've had a marine tank setup for about 4 years or so but grad school is making it mighty difficult to deal with. I'm unfortunately taking it down, possibly selling it, but I want to put up a nice little Beta setup in it's stead. (What can I say? I'm still hooked.) Anyway, what I'd really...

    aiptasia, animal cure?

Well, I got a whole bunch of live rock for my new 26gallon aquarium from an established tank that was being taken down. Unfortunately I have discovered Aiptasia! ARGH! My tank is obviously too small to house a copperband or a raccoon, and I think I can get the bigger ones with kalkwasser...

    Yet another stocking question!

Alright, I've got a 26g bow FOWLR, I've just set it up, but the LR and LS came from an establised aquarium of 8 years. It's running an aquaclear 70, excal skimmer powerheads etc. So, This is what I was originally thinking: 1 Catalina Goby 1 Firefish Goby 1 Lemonpeel Angel and perhaps a...

PLEASE HELP me set up my 46gal. bow front

If you want to keep the damsels you could put a small puffer in there, but as was said before, they will most likely munch on your crabs and snails. As for more fish... that puffer will put a larger load on your tank, and the damsels will stay fiesty... so I wouldn't add more unless you nix the...

    Cycle Time

So I've had a saltwater tank in the past, but I've recently moved and now I'm starting up again. I've just purchased a 26g bow, have an Aquaclear 70, an excal skimmer, heater, powerhead etc. I'm going to get about 25-30 pounds of live rock and at least 20 pounds of live sand froma tank that...

Hello all, I came to Pittsburgh with my tank to go to grad school, but unfortunately the program was'nt working out so I'm moving to San Diego to go somewhere else. I had planned to take my live rock with me (as well as my setup) but my travel plans have just changed drastically and (in...

    Calling All Porcupine Puffer Owners

I had a small porc puffer (about 3-4") and I know he ate some of my snails and crabs, but I had a bunch that were a little big for him, I think. I also had a sand sifting star that lasted about three weeks, I saw him on the glass, the next morning I saw he was sans three legs, and I've not seen...

    Algae issues

Wow, I didn't know I had to replace the bulbs so soon. As to why the puffer is in there: he was a gift, and he is only about 3" long. When I move I am giving him to somebody else (hopefully) of giving him back to the store. Originally I wasn't going to move so far away, but now I don't think...

    Tomato clown acting strange

Ok, so I got my first two fish on Sat. A tomato clown about 1 1/2 inches and a scooter blenny about 2 1/2 inches long. I've had the 46g tank running with Live rock and live sand since the end of november. First week of january I put more (fully cured live rock in, and about a week later I put...

    Fu Manchu

I'm interested in getting a fu manchu lionfish in awhile and I have seen some vibrantly colored ones and then some that weren't so much. I know it depends on how healthy the fish is, but does the area where it came from also factor in? If so, where do the most colorful come from?

New 30something Marine Fish Only... need advice

Hi, all, this is my first time posting on this site. I've had a cichlid tank for some time now and have had great success with it. I've been doing research for the last few months on marine aquariums and I plan to set one up at the end of august when I move into my new apt. I have a couple of...
