Okay, not one set of the button polyps are officially dead. The stalks are breaking off. There is another smaller set on the same rock that are looking too fantastic. Any input at all would be appreciated...

I've gotten my alk up to 9 and the sinularia is looking tons better. However, my lemnalia seems about the same...still not too bad. And my button polyps are now all completely closed. I've only had the polyps for a little under a week and each day more polyps would close...now they all are...

I think the pistol(s) are in an opening which faces the back of my tank. My biggest concern is that if they pair, that they will stay on the wrong side of the rock work. I'd hate to add to my bio-load without at least being able to see my fish. I guess I can only wait and see.

What else have you got in the tank? Before I stocked up on lr and such I used to get rid of cyano by cutting back the lighting.

I'm not sure but I think the trigger might be a bit much for your tank. It's a 55 gallon, right? I think a clown trigger needs at least 125. Your qt tank being 29g might have too much of a bio load to it. How big are the fish? If your nitrites are off the scale then your nitrates will...

Have you considered a refugium? It can make a world of difference. I still get a little algae in my main tank but not nearly as much as I use to.
