Yes, I am using the API kit. And yes, the ammonia is 0ppm. I have a 150g DT with a 55g sump and while running is about half full, ~ 25g or so. How much ammonia should I use for the total volume to achieve 4ppm? Thanks.

I'm 2 weeks into cycling and have the following readings: Ammonia 0ppm nitrite 5ppm+ nitrate 80ppm On 3/19 the readings where: Ammonia 4ppm+ nitrite 4ppm nitrate 80ppm Just wanted to know if I'm on track and should I dose some ammonia or just let let it be. Thanks.

I haven't picked up a water test kit yet, what should the readings be when it clears up? Would I have to feed the bacteria with ammonia to sustain it? Or is this an indication that I'm cycled? That is, when it clears up. I understand that the ppm numbers should be 0 in a 24 hour period. I guess...

I have a 150g tank and will be ready to cycle soon. I have about 100lbs of LR and a 50g sump. I also have two eheims 2217 and wanted to know if I can fill them with ceramic rings and run them to makeup the lack of LR. Thanks. BTW it's going to be a FOWLR tank and maybe a few hardy corals.
