Thanks all - so far I have a Queen, 2 skunk clowns, 2 black percula (sp?) clowns, a Flame Angel and a juvinelle Chocolate tang. I also have 2 Haddon's anemones and 3 condys - and an assortment of snails, and crabs
So - I just watched a small emerald crab fall into a fairly large saddle(haddon) anemone - the anemone closed up right away. My question is: will it eat the crab? Will this hurt the anemone?
I have a 220 and I use the same method. One other advatage I have is that I have a drain close enough that I can siphon water straight into the drain - that makes it faster as well.
Thanks for the info - may I ask: what size is the tank? How large are the 2 angels and how long have you had them? What order did you add them in? Thanks again
Is there any reason I can't (or shouldn't) use a 10W Pondmatser UV in my 220 gal tank? I am considering using one with a 250GPH power head and running it the next few months while I am stocking my tank. My reason is simply that while I am stocking the tank; I have the highest risk of introducing...
Who have you had good experiences with, and what did you get? Who has quality shipping, healthy live stock, etc? Who have you had bad experience with and what happened?
As a follow up - my 220 Nitrite readings went from about the mid-color on my API test kit to zero in just over 36 hours. I did a water change and Im basically at zero for Nitrite, Nitrate and Ammonia now
' kinda funny - I just visited a LFS and they had all 3! An adult Emperor, 2 Queens and a very large adult Annularis! If my tank was a little more established; Id have gotten one - but I still need to wait a bit I think
I saw that one on DD as well; it seems like a really good deal
Sorry to keep asking you questions but do you have hermits/snails? Im curious if the big angels pick on them
Thanks again
Hello - could you share your experiences with these angels? I have a new 220 and I'm considering one of these large angels but I can't quite decide on which one. ' any thoughts/info on which one you have, your set-up, tank-mates, observations etc would be helpful. Thanks in advance
I'm about 4 weeks into starting my 210 gallon tank. I started with about 150lbs of semi-cured rock and another 100 plus pounds of dry rock. I added some scavengers - small hermits, some snails about 2 weeks ago. I'm at the point where in general terms; my ammonia went up and now has dropped to...
Did you just cut the downtube off as close to where it is intserted into the lid as you could or did you leave any sticking out? Did you use a hack-saw? Thanks -
