I already have a sand sifting star, 3 scarlet hermit, and two dove tail snails. Also i already have 2 power heads and my canister filter also stirs the sand. Any other good ideams who be much help.
I need some help, my LS in my tank is binding together to make little balls. It doesn't seem to be causeing problems but it doesn't look good. I don't know if it is a water chemistry problem, and if it is i would like to correct it.

Today i was looking at my fish in my cycling tank (two damsels, and i know this isn't the best way...i am learning) and i noticed something on one of my live rocks. It was a small white feather duster. I can't believe it is still alive with mean of its feathers still attached.

I live in califonia and it is pretty hot right now.
I am cycling my tank and it gets to be in the 84 degees F area.
It comes down at night to about 80.
I never see my heater on so i dont think it is that.
I dont know what to do?
