Amano Shrimp Yellow/White-ish bands...but not dead

My amano's body has been quite strange lately. Firstly, it was as it should be - clear-ish. Next, it was giving off a white reflection, but if she was angled just right, I could see she was still a tad see-through. I expected her to die in the next day or so, but it's been 2 weeks so far, and no...

Has anyone with a RCS ever seen it lay down?

One of my RCS is laying down. This is really odd for me because he, and the others, usually always stand on their little legs. But this guy is just laying on his pleodpods with his front legs outstretched (yet, still curled). Is he dying? Or is he just molting? Help please?

I have no idea if I should worry about this...

I have a larger tank that I am setting up right now so that my 30 shrimplets can go into. However, in the tank I currently have them in, about 12-20 of the 30 babies are constantly up at the surface. The remaining and my 3 other adult shrimp are crawling over decorations, the bottom, and mid...

    Dots on inside of glass...?

I've never had snails. The only real "plant" I've had was a marimo ball, but I've had it for almost 2 months, and these never showed up

    Dots on inside of glass...?

Hi everyone! I have pictures attached of these weird cluster of dots on the inside of my freshwater tank. Are they calcium deposits, some strange algae, or something else? My water params are all normal (ammonia: 0ppm, nitrite: 0ppm, nitrate: 5-10ppm, ph: 7.0, GH: 150ppm, KH: 110-120ppm) They...

    Shrimp fighting???

Hello! I had my (supposed) female amano shake my berried cherry shrimp today. I know that amanos can be quite aggressive when feeding time rolls around, but could this be an indication of my shrimp starving? I never see them eat the food I give them (though I'm sure they're sneaky at it). Is...

    Possible Amano Shrimp saddled?

Yeah I know :). I'm not trying to breed amanos. One of my preggers cherry shrimp is all I can handle in that department now! haha! Regardless, I'd just like to know if it's the (possible) female doing her regular stuff, or if it's something to worry about?

    Red Cherry Shrimps

They can be aggressive if they feel threatened or if they are in a new environment or if they don't have buddies (since they are schooling fish). But I do not believe they are instinctively aggressive. :)

    Possible Amano Shrimp saddled?

If you mean the white stripe, that's normal. I added a photo circling what I meant. Also, it's very difficult for shrimp to get tapeworms (apparently)...non of my other shrimp are experiencing anything "tapeworm-ish"

    Possible Amano Shrimp saddled?

Hi everyone! I've had my shrimp for about a week, and I am thankful every day that they are not dead haha. But, of course, this being my first time to own shrimp, I am concerned about every little thing. I am such a mom! Anyways, it turns out my Amano "Clyde" might actually be a...

    Red Cherry Shrimps

Well the EGGS probably won't be eaten since the female does not lay them, however the teeny tiny babies that are birthed might be at risk if you have an aggressive or big-mouthed fish

    Shrimp tank help and ?s

Hello! I am thinking about setting up a shrimp tank for my 1 gallon. I know 1 gallon is quite small, especially if I am to keep fish, but since I am only interest in shrimp, I have read that it is acceptable (right?). Anyways, on to the questions. Firstly - which are easier to manage: ghost...
