I own the proflex model 4 and it is okay. It's under a 75gallon. Honestly it is way better just to build one though. You can add 4 chambers in a long enough sump four socks, skimmer/reactors,refudg, return. Even add a fifth sealed off for ATO reservoir.

I had my superman Monti 11" below under a 4bulb T5, great growth and color... Same with orange and purple monti caps at about 6", 11" and 14"... All grow fine and have same color but of course the 6" from top grew the fastest but not much of a difference

Okay thanks.. I moved from 4bulb t5 so I am currently ramping them up to 40% over 3 weeks from about 20%. After that is all done and I now know I won't bleach my corals I will try to get them around 70% in time.

What would be the recommendation on power % for growing SPS and keeping clams on the sand? I also will be keeping some LPS like hammers, tourches, frogspawn, and acans.

Thanks. Sorry for the late reply... All is getting better with coloration from this piece. It is red where the most light hits it but since I balance everything out better the whole piece is brightening up.

That species of tang is tougher to get to eat, gets a good size, and is one of the more aggressive. I've herd of quite a few living a long time but I would assume they don't respond to stressful conditions well like water conditions and tank mates/new tank mates.

I think your lighting wouldn't be strong enough... Maybe in a 16" high tank but not a 24" or even 21". However, I can say the most important thing is water quality if you do chance it. For example, I grow few kinda of SPS mid level in my 75 with 4bulb T5 and have also had frags of Monti d. grow...
