    Not to conflict with what Aqua_chem is saying, the the most important thing for HC success is CO2. Many people crank the co2 to the maximum without harming livestock. This is especially needed if you are starting with HC that was grown emersed

    Id be careful with highlight. Fertilization with macros and micros is necessary and a source of co2. Just flourish comp prob wont cut it. And using very bright lights doesnt mean you can grow any plant since its considered 'high' lighting

    You can find a light for a lot cheaper. Just go to home depot or menards and get 2 CFL bulbs and some clamp work lights and your set.
