I made the hole bigger, no real difference. Then i saw that adding a air tube would help. So i added a 9 inch tube. Placed tube in hole about 2 inches and that took care of it. Can't believe what a difference it makes. Can hardly hear tank. Now I just hear pumps... Thanks for the advise...

ro/di water is the best way to go. You can make your own or your local fish shop may sell it. I get pre-made saltwater from my local shop for $1 a gallon.

First I would like to say thank you for all the info on this site. I am new to this forum. I have a corner 55 gallon reef tank with t-5 lights. Temp hovers around 82. Looking for a good quality chiller to bring temp down to around 76-78. Thanks NCTS
