A properly fed and normally stocked tank of goldfish will not have zero nitrates from plants and a bio filter alone.

I recently bought a large full grown yellow watchman goby that is quite pale. It is eating very well and otherwise healthy. It was pale at the store as well. Is this just how they look full grown? Or was it stressed at the store and will eventually "color-up"? Thanks for any help. :)
My 2262. Unscrewing the pump from the canister lid. I want a lot of flow but low velocity. The bigger holes in the spray bar help but I'm thinking theres probably a wide flat nozzle attachment I could get somewhere I just don't know where.
I have the eheim 2262. Any ideas to decrease tank current but also keep discharge valves fully open? So far I widened the spraybar holes but it still is pretty strong velocity. Maybe there's a different discharge nozzle or something that can be bought?
My tanks not drilled out and I don't like the idea of the possibility of losing power and having an issue. Although that may be a myth? Also the cans are behind the tank so I fill the stand with aquarium stuff.
Thanks for the advice. I was hoping there was some beast canister that was made by a company not on the normal aquarium sites. It'd be nice to just have one to maintenance. :)
