I was told it was a tire track eel when it was small as it has grown it's no longer dark and it has spots all along the body but it doesn't look like a peacock eel what kind can it be?
Can someone tell me what species this is and the special care I need for this breed...

Ok beef heart will always do thid it's very dirty do you feed cubed or sheet form? You can get a feeding cone and give that a try it may take time for them to take to it.. good luck
How about a elephant nose or baby whale fish then again a dolphin fish I have 2 african brown knives there cool also african butterfly they tend to be aggressive to top dwelling fish theres eels of all kind...
that can work but i recommend put some old grave in a nylon or aquatic bag of some kind to help with BB as for how to do it is the way you find it simple
if hes spending the money soon he will grasp the thought your trying to tell him something fish will die and get eaten but what can you do its your pops

ok here goes i did this might work for you i got a 48 inch square piece of acrylic/plexiglass..the thinner the cheaper it is.. i cut the acrylic to fit in between the top and bottom trims painted it black with color flake to have a bit of sparkles placed it on the back of my tank and held it in...
nice fish i keep mine with 2 eels and 3 rope fish there fine no one has problems since they stay at the top of the tank
they are very good eaters they eat ghost shrimp guppies minnows and worms
yes it has its pretty calm keeps to itself lounges with my kuhli loaches and rope fish as for the black worm i see where your coming from but 90% of my fish are wild caught so try to keep there diet live....been feeding live foods for 16 months and no issues i guess luck of the draw....keep up...

i have that same exact model your looking in to works fine and my house is up and down in temps....
if you want to try it go for it and if you dont feel its getting right keep your heater that is the tank..
As for temps i can do a water change and be off and not have to worry to much about it...
i got the same stuff and love it i used 80 lb in a 75 gal tank could have used 1 more bag but have to live with it....
it all depend on you they say lb per gal but its up to the 1 who has to look at it in my opinion..lol

well ive been posting info on eels eating and foods so that brought on the impulse for a new 1so i got a fresh water leopard eel for some reason i cant find any info on them and i have no pix cause its been hiding out in the brush.
