Ok im a little confused!... I have been adding ammonia every 24 hours, The ammonia is removed within around 6 hours now. Will it get to a point were I add ammonia and there will be NO nitrites? Or do I add ammonia and then 24 hours later assuming there is zero ammonia and zero nitrites I'm done...

Ordered two Nerite Snails to cover the algae, I intend on doing the tank maintenance but a little help won't hurt! Means I can use the bio-load for other stock! Nitrite 0 will continue to test once more (maybe two to be sure) and then stock up?

Water change done and PH was change to before, Also checked ammonia was 2ppm 2 hours after checked again this morning no nitrite again, So dosed up to 2ppm on ammonia and will check again this evening

Is this the ph of your tank (6.5)? Have you done a test on your tap water as well? Leave out a container/cup of tap overnight, preferably with an airstone/bubbler. If you dont have an extra, just give it a good stir every so often. This will give you your actual taps ph after it has gassed out...

Glad to read your feedback, I did wonder why the only dosed on ammonia to such low levels as during stocking the tank the bacteria would need to build up bacteria to catch up with the amount needed to be processed. I havent been doing water changes but was interested to hear what people think
