Wonder if I can add this little guy in my tank.

I was thinking I could tie some sort of heavy object to keep him down. Maybe drill a hole underneath his jaw so I can attach a air stone or some sort there. Can I sand it down to remove the "stain" and cover it with an aquarium sealant?

Wonder if I can add this little guy in my tank.

So my mom got me this gator from India. Made out of wood, but the wood feels like its been "painted" or whatever cause it feels smooth and shiny.. anyone know if I can add this to my tank or how I would make sure this is okay for the tank... Thanks

Funniest things done by your fishy friends?

My bristle nose spook sits by the air stone which sends bubbles through a ship and chases away any fish that come near the bubbles... He is like obsessed with it. Kinda reminds me of that one fish from finding nemo, forgot his name.

RIP Sona Jr. :( (Lyretail Molly)

Well, had to euthanize my prego Molly due to whirling disease :( devastated because I was so excited to raise her fry(s) but I have to replace her with another female to keep up with the male to female ratio. She was a good fish. Sorry if it's the wrong section to post in.

thats a very unique idea! I will definitely try that (now I have a reason to walk into my lfs again, hehe) i don't have a feeder box.. might look into that then, and try your method.. i love the king bettas.. they look absolutely stunning.

    Finally, my first driftwood!

They were def the coolest i have seen. They are on sale (10 for 2.99) crawfish is like 30 bucks. I don't think it's within my budget for now lol

    Finally, my first driftwood!

So even the dwarf plecos that grow 4" are too big? Ismailis would be awesome. Maybe I can do a shrimp variety tank with a dwarf frog and couple snails in a heavily planted tank with a betta?

    Finally, my first driftwood!

Guess I'll wait on the pleco when i get a bigger tank then :( I have a ghost shrimp in there, and he is very intriguing to watch. That's what I thought, Christmas looks a lot neater... But they grow slower? Prolly get couple neons or make it a betta sorority perhaps

And the wood.. Lol it caught my eye when I was at PetsMart. I felt it would fit very nicely in my 10g but my mom thinks it looks big haha

    Finally, my first driftwood!

Well as far as stocking it, I'm very confused. It's a small tank... Obviously... Lol but as far as plants, I want some Anubias and some sort of moss. Can't decide between java and Christmas. I really want to get a albino long finned bristle nose. I got a bristle nose downstairs. Still a baby...

    Got it done

yeah, I am considering making the switch, but I agree in terms of waiting for the tank to cycle prior to changing the substrate. Sand will look beautiful though

    Finally, my first driftwood!

Found this really beautiful piece of mopani root at PetsMart. I searched high and low for a driftwood in the open, but didn't see any to my liking. Finally found a "medium" sized wood and figure I would add it to my 10 gallon tank... I have soaked it in water. Still leaching tannins. Pic will be...

I added couple of rocks and I noticed some white soft stuff growing on my rock

I have one ghost shrimp in the tank. I also added a few hornworts (spelling) from my older tank. The rocks were given to me along with the tank from my friend.. havent asked him if he used it before or just found em outside.. although, the white stuff is turning reddish... is it red algae? some...

I added couple of rocks and I noticed some white soft stuff growing on my rock

I just started up an old 10 gallon tank because my Molly is prego and I wanted to keep a nursery tank ready once the fry drops... I added older plants and decorations from my current tank to get the tank cycled faster. However I added couple of rocks and I noticed some white soft stuff growing...

    Hey Guys!

I'm new to this forum and to this hobby. Started my community tank two months ago. I have always been very amazed by fish and I was excited to dwell deeper into this hobby when I got a free 20 gallon high. So did some reading and eventually started settin it up. Did a tank cycle. Gradually I...
