    Starfish hitchhiker

+1 although they seem to only be a problem for a few tanks, mine never really get out of control. Just watch for them if ya have any zoa problems.

    Coral ID

looks like a branching frogspawn or torch to me and they do have stinging tentacles, but mine don't seem to bug anything.

    Dark Maroon Velvet Algae?

sounds and kinda looks like cyano. certain snails/crabs will eat it. Kinda weird that it comes and goes that quick though.

Picture of my tank which i'm turning in to SW

looks like a good start, I'd prob add a lot more rock to help the bio filter out and provide places for fish to hide, pods to grow, etc. Great start

    Ready for fish!

Prob, I'd add some fish food and monitor params for a day or so to try to get a spike, but prob ready for 1 fish or a small cuc.

    Starfish and other creature ID

asterina star, usually no issues a bunodosoma anenome don't know squat about them and a pineapple sponge I'm guessing, filter feeders, usually a small bloom of them then they disappear. Although the pic is a little blurry for these old eyes, so not sure

    waterflow?

IMO, unless ya get the MP's, more power heads are better than 1. A kinda of general rule, is 15-25% for a general FOWLR or softie tank, 25-35% for LPS, and 50-70% for an SPS. But that gets complicated with what certain PH and what corals, controllers, etc. I have 3000 GPH, running in my 55g...

    Clean Up Crew

When you add fish or start seeing algae. I like to add 1/2 the cuc when I add my first fish, the do a refresher pack with some harder inverts like shrimp , crabs and urchins after the tanks is settled in and some algae is growing.

Apestacia <--(not sure if spelled right)

yeah aiptaisia, ya have a few options since its on a small rock with only a xenya frag, but whatever you do I'd do it with the rock outside of the tank, as the lil buggers when threatened can release a ton of spores into the water column, which means more. So I'd, pull the rock, popp as much as...

    Algae?

it looks like red filament algae and can grow quick. I'd manually remove as much as ya can, and get some more snails in there, as well as limit your feedings and check your parameters.

    Is my pulsing xenia sick?

Do you have a test kit for iodine? If not I wouldn't dose it, it can get out of control easy. And xenia can be moody at times, especially in a new tank. They'll close up for no reason sometimes. Mine is doing best in moderate flow on a wave maker.

White blobs that look like coral

pineapple sponges, harmless filter feeders, should be a bloom of them, then they eventually go away, usually.
