Technically, the Rainbow shark isn't really a shark neither is a Bala shark. But they can be a little aggressive but it usually just depends on what it is with. Rainbow sharks do seems to go after things with red tails though.

Dwarf gouramis are great choices but for some reason I believe gouramis get sick easier, not sure why. I have lost a few in the past both powder blue gouramis and dwarf gouramis. Usually some type of flesh eating disease. But still great fish! My show piece fish in one of my tanks is a rainbow...
