your flow rate shouldn't matter if you trying to lower your nitrates. The plat will pull nitrate in no matter how fast your flow is. But if you're tring to grow or breed any pods, yes it's better to have slow flow through your refugium.

It's still at 2.0 today. Can I lower nitrites by changing water like the ammonia??? My rocks are changing color also. It's turning to red like the mars planet.

I did the test again today and this is my result!! ph at 7.8, ammonia at 2.0, nitrite 2.0, nitrate 10, 2 days after 50% water change. I'll keep track of ammonia level everyday.

DONE!!! Scrubbed as much as I can and I did about 10% water change(That's all I had in the RO) Didn't want to go grocery(lazy). Is tap water bad??for any aquarium? Can I do more water change tomorrow maybe another 10% ??? Thank you all.....

I can't get more than 10 gal from ro per day(even less). Can I use tap water to mix the solution? My tank is 75 gal and if i want 40% change that is 30 gal at least.

I had 1 damsel & 1 blue damsel(I thik that's what its called) 1 of damsel had died and blue one is doing okay!!(although, he's always hiding) I'll test the water again tonight.
