i've got a 50/50 for my 10 gal, i have almost all low light plants, im not sure what they all are but a bunch. they seem to do just fine, but maybe a little more algee then my other tank w/out a 50/50 bulb, then again it is completely different fish so im sure that has something to do with it...

i can't see how it would hurt.

from what i've heard you will just grow more algee and that besides that it is not harmful to the fish. but then i could also be completely wrong but i'm sure someone here has a solid answer.

one thing that not to many lfs seem to have are a good selection of plants, or at least around here. but a good selection of plants is always a plus

i just made sure the tank was taped of good and put a lid on it so none would get inside and sprayed it w/ flat black spray paint. i'm guessing there is probably a better type of paint to use but it worked fine for me

i used computer led's and it looks really cool imo, and the cory cats seem to love it.

i have feeder goldfish, i started of with 6. 3 died off withen the first month :( but the other three i have had for over 2 years.

right now i'm setting up a 10 gal and i'm borrowing the filter and gravel from an established one. i also heard plants help out, but i could be completely off on that one. :fadein:

i never realized how cool gouramis til i went to a different lfs and noticed this blue greenish one, it was the coolest looking fish. now my question is would there be any problems adding one to my tank? its a 20 gal long with 4 platies 5 black neon tetras 3 cory's also i will be adding a few...

i'm not too sure on that, i think they might be trumpet snails they're pretty small the biggest ones are a little under 1/4 inch. i'll try to get a pic of them though

jibboo thats cool that your yo yo's eat snails, i was thinking of them but wasnt sure if they ate snails, but hearing that they do is music to my ears, or i guess not to my ears but my reading eyes. thanks
