This is what my carpet looked like 2 years ago when I first got it. It shriveled up, I thought it was dying, but it just came back a darker color. This is how it looked a few weeks ago... Now it's all small and shriveled up again. Is it changing colors again? Is this normal?

I couldn't get a good picture because my tank lights were off, camera flash was acting crazy, and had some other stuff going on. It's transparent, moves super fast... In the pic bellow it's the transparent snail toward the bottom. It's close to the conch shell.

So I've had this pouch things in my tank for a while. There is 3 that started out as one on one side of the tank and one on the other side. They are a greenish gray color and resently turning brown. I've never paid to much attention to them but I found ball sponges while trying to learn more...
