    Maybe i won't get Julies because i would like yellow labs and If i had lake Malawi cichlids mixed with Tanganyika Cichlids then it won't be a biotope, plus we shouldn't mix cichlids together in the same tank that are from different lakes.

    Thanks a lot!. Maybe it could be a lake Tanganyika biotope instead of lake Malawi. My first plan was to do yellow lab cichlids, but maybe i will try julidochromis cichlids. Do you know where i could get some and are they easy to care for?

    Thanks a lot! I am glad you like it. This is my first time setting up a cichlid tank. It will be a while before i get the fish and finish setting it up. I will post a photo of the tank when it is more complete.

    pool filter sand vs. play sand

    I think pool filter sand is better. Right now i am setting up a tank and i am using Mystic white pool filter sand, which is already clean so you don't need to wash it.

    Thanks a lot for your comment! I understand what you mean now. I just moved the rock to a different position where it looks more natural. Soon i will post another photo of the tank.
