Mines on the sand bed with low-medium flow & it's growing great.

I do 8 hours with great results.

6 lines are known to be jumpers. Id get something over the tank before I added another. Sorry for your loss. :(

I have it under 4 t5 bulbs and a couple led stunners. Not much upkeep, monthly water changes would be enough.
